We work with brands who are looking to achieve these goals as part of their overall identity. What we do is illustrated below with the work we’ve done for one of our clients, Skinega.
INNOVATIVE BRAND NAMING
Skinega wanted a name that help them to stand out in the very crowded anti-ageing skincare market.
We worked with a tight brief to produce a simple name that said “skincare” and “antiageing”.
Immediately anti-ageing sprung to mind and we took the word “age” turned it backwards, and surprisingly nobody had thought of this before. Because of the unique name we were also able to reserve a very simple url, www.skinega.com.
STUNNING PACKAGING DESIGN
Skinega wanted the product to scream luxury. To do this we conducted very in-depth research of all luxury markets and packaging.
We also had to consider that this is a gender-neutral brand, so we ended up with a very simple design, with white and silver.
We also wanted to add a tactile element to the packaging. For the external packaging, we went with a “skin” textured thick card to help texturize the appearance and to help Skinega’s product stand out from the standard thin box packaging of most luxury skincare brands.
We do all of our photography in-house which is so important to us to provide a seamless brand experience for clients and their customers.
With Skinega being a digitally native and direct to consumer brand, photography is vital to convey the luxury elements and simplicity of the brand.
For all of Skinega’s photos, including those for social media, we work hard to create an enhanced luxury feel.
Working with a brand to develop their key messaging is so important.
We work with clients to pick out the elements they wish to develop, and also to help them further develop their key proposition and points of difference.
With Skinega, one of a handful of key points we focussed on was the fact that their products were made without ingredients that did not positively impact the skin, which included scents.
This particular post conveys that with Skinega, you can choose your scent and let the skincare focus on caring for your skin.
There’s a time and a place for humor, and Skinega really wanted to make a mark in the crowded skincare space.
We worked with them to create some more risky or provocative advertising and Instagram posts, and this one went down very well. This type of message wouldn’t suit every brand, but when we are given the creative license to attempt to be funny, normally one of us can come through with something worth printing…….and so much we cannot print.
RESPONSIVE WEB DESIGN
We build all types of websites, but the brief from Skinega was to build a fully responsive, simple, elegant website, that had built in ecommerce capability.
They also wanted us to develop a unique direct-to-consumer platform that allowed any of their customers to become re-sellers with what looked like their own website.
Once we had completed the branding piece, we put together their website from start to finish in six weeks. The result can be found at www.skinega.com.
